Work place Biel, Switzerland, the Job Holder reports into Director, Worldwide IT Support.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and Support end user PCs, workstations, desk and mobile phones and network printers as part of the worldwide IT support team
  • Provide application support; Outlook, WebEx/Zoom, video conferencing, phones
  • Support corporate projects that are designed to improve or to address ongoing infrastructure performance issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network and end user computing issues both software and hardware
  • Use of active directory for day to day support activities
  • Manage building automation systems: access control, fire alarm, HVAC, CCTV, Solar, Lighting, car charging
  • Coordination and management of general building maintenance including health and safety

Education and Experience

  • A degree in a computer-related field or equivalent technical training and work experience in a Windows desktop and server environment is required
  • 3 years of desktop support experience including network support
  • Must be able to complete small to moderate projects with minimal supervision
  • Familiar with providing end user remote support
  • Troubleshooting TCP/IP networking issues and services
  • Knowledge of system security, patch management and data backup/recovery
  • Experience with collaboration services such as VOIP phones, video conferencing and WebEx/Zoom
  • Exposure to Active Directory and Office365 environment and virtual server technology such as VMware
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Very good German and English language skills (speaking and writing)
