We are currently recruiting for the region of MER (Mid Europe) an Oncology Health Care Lead (OHCL) who will play a critical role in enabling pathway optimization to support the introduction of innovative medicines and ensuring that pathways are in place to enable rapid local uptake post national reimbursement. Supporting and sharing across countries the relevant pathway or system improvement initiatives. The MER OHCL will be accountable for the implementation of the regional plan for Oncology, by collaborating and leading the strategic plans with the CER Squads and country OHCLs, ensuring a coordinated and effective approach to deliver on access for patients. This is a role with the requirement for regular travel for the purpose of visiting customers, meeting team members, engaging with third party solution providers. Responsible for leading the MER OHCL multi market squad to support our strategically critical indications to ensure rapid local market access and treatment rate expansion that supports the MER aspiration. Lead and collaborate to create a cohesive, successful cross functional team of leaders. Lead and deliver on focused, consistent, innovative, strategically important projects through a test and learn strategy, scaling as appropriate. Supports the MER oncology strategy and in particular develop the patient journey strategy, in close collaboration with the CER. MER CMO, MER RMLs, Medical, Market access, Policy, Legal and Compliance, Public Affairs, to continue to co-build Oncology solutions and patient journey programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads cross collaborations to works as one team and coordinates and prioritizes the development of solutions and programs

  • Develops patient solutions/programs in collocation with the MER OHCLs multi market squad and ensures alignment with the CER Squad

  • Acts as point of contact for third party solution providers

  • Implements the prioritized Oncology solutions and patient programs in collaboration with the country OHCLs

  • Works with the country OHCL and strategic accounts to continue to co-build patient journey programs and enrich the current offers, and ensures consistent implementation, in line with the strategic priorities identified by the country oncology team (cross-tumor and strategic accounts)

  • Ensures consistency and alignment between all functions involved in the Care Pathway: Oncology Unit, Medical, Market Access, KAMs, BUD, Franchise Leads, Legal and Compliance, Public Affairs, Health Policy and Communication

  • Takes into account external monitoring to guide the lines of work on the production of solutions and programs

  • Collects and monitors data to track the impact of the implemented solutions

    • Determines and implements team dashboards

    • KPI monitoring

    • Analysis of the use of programs and solutions

  • Ensures execution is in line with internal and external procedures and compliance

  • Shares and influences the organization to mobilize the necessary resources according to the project

Required skills and experience

  • 5+ years of experience in hospital account management, healthcare consultancy or worked in the hospital before. Higher education in science/engineering/business school

  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry & the expectations of healthcare professionals

  • Expertise in project management, particularly around patient journeys (required) and ideally in multidimensional project management

  • Expertise to work and execute across multiple countries

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Fluent in English

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Management experience

  • Experience is contracting third party solution providers (required)

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to manage a cross-functional team and prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral), interpersonal relationships

This role can be based in any of the countries in the MER region.
