Your mission:

To reinforce the Synechron Switzerland team, we are looking for a Expert Engineer in Network Security. Our mission is for one of our clients, a major/global financial institution in Zurich.

Your responsibilities:

• Integrating IT infrastructure and business services with a PAM platform to ensure secure privileged access management, with a focus on CyberArk technology.
• Operating and maintaining the global network environment, including CISCO, firewalls, proxies, DNS, DDoS, NAC, and other network security components.
• Supporting and maintaining thePAM service, network security infrastructure, and ensuring stable operation while resolving network-related issues to keep the infrastructure up to date.
• Contributing to the implementation of security improvements as part of a security improvement program, including support for projects with network solution designsand network security solution designs in alignment with the IT security policy.
• Proactively identifying and communicating opportunities for improvement in security services, technologies, processes, and documentation, and collaborating closely with the Network team in the implementation, support, maintenance, and monitoring of firewalls and proxies infrastructure.
• Contributing to other engineering tasks and supporting projects as a technical subject matter expert with a solution architect perspective.
• Documenting network services, network design, operational manuals, and network security services.

Your profile and skills:

• You justify a Master’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, or another relevant field;
• You have a solid experience in the banking industry, with particular expertise in private banking;
• You are experienced in designing and implementing network infrastructure and in the field of information technology security, including security engineering;
• You are experienced in IT network certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, CCSE, etc.);
• You possess IT security network certifications, preferably with Checkpoint and Fortinet technologies;
• You possess 10+ years of practical experience in the field of networking security, managing Checkpoint and/or FortiGate firewalls, and Broadcom (Symantec) proxies;
• You have strong knowledge of networking technologies (routing, switching, firewalls, proxies, DNS) and IT security technologies;
• You show good knowledge of the IT landscape (Linux, Windows, middleware, Ansible, dockers, etc.);
• You have the ability to weigh problems and set priorities, strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• You are a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills;
• You are customer-oriented, committed, with a hands-on mentality.
• You speak English and German (would be a plus);
• You possess a valid Swiss work permit, or you areEU national and willing to relocate to Zurich.
