The Life Science Career Network CTC are specialised industry experts who can help companies source the best talent and provide reliable HR and consulting services, support varied candidates in finding promising career opportunities and offer the latest in skill development training programmes.Chemistry Lab Technician (5120 - VGI)Our client, an innovative and dynamic bio-pharmaceutical company headquartered in Switzerland, covering multiple therapeutic areas, is looking for an Chemistry Lab Technician for a 12 month contract role with the possibility of extension based in Basel, Switzerland.As a Lab Professional, you’ll be responsible for the independent planning, execution, evaluation, and documentation of all assigned laboratory work. Your attention to detail and adherence to analysis procedures, SOPs, and safety guidelines will ensure GMP-compliance and timely completion of tasks. You’ll take full ownership of the processes within the laboratory group and care for the assigned tasks and equipment.Responsibilities
  • Independently planning, executing, evaluating, documenting, and interpreting complex and demanding work while solving problems mostly independently.
  • Ensuring compliance with deadlines, such as within the framework of NOSSCE, and timely escalation in case of foreseeable delays.
  • Adhering to GMP and GSU regulations.
  • Maintaining, operating, and upkeeping equipment and facilities.
  • Taking on additional complex and demanding tasks, such as method transfers, development work, laboratory investigations, and problem-solving.
  • Undertaking special tasks with additional responsibilities, such as serving as a power user, GSU officer, participating in equipment qualification for new equipment/techniques, and more.
  • Independently preparing reports, including method validation, OOS, and others.
  • Training new employees/temporary workers.
Requirements
  • Apprenticeship or Bachelor in a relevant subject.
  • Proficient in German and English languages.
  • At least 3 years of experience in laboratory work (in addition to the apprenticeship).
  • Expertise in quality control or analytical laboratories.
  • Chromatographic analysis (eg HPLC, GC) skills & experience.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of all common laboratory techniques, or alternatively, expert knowledge in special techniques.
  • Good IT skills: proficient in Office applications, SAP, and LIMS.
