Vacancy: Legal Consultant P&C - Reinsurance (f/m/x)- We are looking for a Legal Consultant specialized in Underwriting for our client, an international Reinsurance company based in Zürich. For this position, the employee in question will work directly for our client. The support, placement and all of our additional services are free of charge for you as the applicant.
Your Responsibilities as Legal Consultant P&C - Reinsurance (f/m/x)
- Supporting underwriting on all reinsurance contract law questions
- Advising on contract issues; drafting and interpreting contract wording; and developing specific solutions for complex contract structures
- Influencing and driving the high quality of contract wordings
- Liaising with Claims on complex claims, and assisting our Legal & Compliance department in arbitration or litigation, if required
- Training underwriters on wording issues and guidelines
- Translating lessons learned from claims into more effective contract wordings
- Supporting underwriters in negotiations with clients and brokers
Your Qualification and Skills
- Master of Laws (LL.M.) or equivalent education
- Strong knowledge of (re-)insurance contract law acquired in several years of experience in Casualty and/or Property (re-)insurance, underwriting experience is an asset
- Ability to grasp complex legal issues, strong team and business orientation, excellent communication skills, confident, engaging and persuasive
- Language: Excellent command of English, French or German language skills would be a plus
