Position Summary

We are currently looking for a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our team based in Vevey, Switzerland. You will support the Nestlé group’s procurement with holistic, pragmatic and business oriented legal advice, with a focus on IS/IT categories. Reporting directly to the General Counsel - Nestrade S.A., you will be integral part of the Legal Procurement Team fully dedicated to global procurement for the Nestlé Group.

A day in the life of...

  • The provision of legal advice and support to the IS/IT categories
  • To raise awareness, visibility and the importance of Legal matters to internal stakeholders /relevant clients.
  • To support the Legal Procurement Team in developing best in class form agreements, processes (including risk assessment) for above market transactions within Procurement.
  • To support on the establishment and implementation of effective and efficient workflow processes to ensure functional alignment with Legal at Zones, Markets and GMBs levels.
  • To protect the best interests of Nestlé, always aligned with the fundamental Corporate and Procurement policies (e.g. Nestlé Responsible Sourcing Standard, Nestlé Corporate Business Principles, Nestlé Code of Business Conduct etc.) and any other applicable internal policy/guideline.
  • Providing overall support relating to the ongoing legal requirements of the Procurement Company.
  • Supporting the General Counsel for Procurement in the management of the legal affairs of Procurement worldwide.

What will make you successful

  • At least 5 years PQE as a lawyer
  • Highly developed knowledge of legal requirements/regulations for IS/IT deals (cloud, data privacy, technology, etc.)
  • The ability to advise in relation to activities and processes connected to the negotiation and procurement of IS/IT solutions and related services
  • Experience of working in varied legal environments.
  • Highly developed contract drafting and negotiation skills
  • A highly developed knowledge of international and commercial law and practice. Experience in common law practice a plus.
  • The ability to apply the law to gain business advantage
  • Excellent organizational skills and an ability to handle an important workload, and to prioritize and manage client expectations
  • An ability to work with colleagues and manage stakeholders from different disciplines and cultures
  • Experience of managing high pressure / high visibility projects under the scrutiny of senior management
