Librarian in Primary (50%)

Main Purpose of the Role

As a librarian in our Primary section, you are responsible for the daily management of the library, including administrative related tasks. You inspire the students, supporting their reading apprenticeship, and proposing activities as well as appropriate lectures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the purchase and treatment of Anglophone and francophone books, documentaries, and publications for children under twelve years old.
• Provide advice and support to users in their research (both teachers and children).
• Facilitate training courses for student’s documentary research (CALIS project) as well as visits.
• Implement animations and expositions to promote a love of reading.
• Participate in events promoting reading.
• Make the library’s inventory and update the stock according to documents and materials’ losses and damaging.
• Manage and organize documents’ loan.
• Ensure that the library remains a welcoming and inspirational place for students and teachers to enjoy exploring the written word.
• Submit a forecast budget to the Primary Principals.
• Accomplish the administrative tasks relative to the role.
