Reporting to the Head of RI Operations, the successful candidate will become part of a specialized team that is responsible for cross-functional life reinsurance back-office processes, including accounting, reporting and communication aspects. Our reliability and the cooperation with our globally acting market experts, which are specialized in non-traditional life and variable annuities reinsurance solutions, are the keys to our success.

Your responsibilities

  • Process statements of account including consistency checks
  • Produce booking orders (via upload files) and assist corresponding cash flow monitoring
  • Agree and monitor deliverables and deadlines with external & internal stakeholders
  • Support quarterly closing processes including controls and other regular reporting activities
  • Establish, maintain, improve and document cross-functional accounting and reporting processes

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent education
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience of life reinsurance and treaty life-cycle management
  • Strong client responsiveness and ability to communicate with clients and stakeholders all over the world
  • Knowledge of IFRS17 and IFRS9 accounting standards and the corresponding accounting treatment
  • Decent analytical and organisational skills
  • Sound Excel knowledge
  • Ability to work independently, reliably and consistently
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Strong English language skills

Desirable

  • Knowledge of local specifics and requirements for US market
  • Sound knowledge of SAP FS-RI or similar reinsurance treaty administration system
  • Additional software knowledge, e.g. VBA, PowerQuery, PowerBI or R+
  • German, French or other language skills
