Life Science Consultant: Senior Finance Analyst

Location: Zug Role Purpose The Senior Finance Analyst will play a crucial role to bring this purpose to life, as the Surgical Vision business is currently progressing through a pivotal strategic change journey with high visibility and responsibility for the Principal, Inventory & Costing (PIC) team. Major Accountabilities
  • Financial Close & Compliance
  • Consolidate the Surgical Vision worldwide inventory report using Alteryx
  • Reporting out of inventory metrics and provide analytics supporting bridges to financial plans and historical actuals
  • Update and maintain the Surgical Vision SLOB Expense Tableau dashboard
  • Calculation of DOS, inventory reserves and other ad hoc analytics
  • Preparation of journal entries and ad hoc close tasks.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Support the inventory SOX cycle and related compliance activities.
  • Financial Forecasting
  • Collaborate closely with the Plan organization and regional commercial finance teams to build comprehensive net inventory forecasts for all major forecasting cycles (BP/JU/NU), ensuring we show a coherent story across P&L and Balance Sheet that ties in with business drivers
  • Quarterly latest thinking forecasting
  • Support Long Range Financial Planning (LRFP) and business case support or ad hoc inventory related financial modeling.
  • Process Automation
  • Continuously challenge the existing processes and procedures
  • Lead the end-to-end SLOB reserve calculation and alignment with business partners (Make/Quality/Plan/Regional Finance)
  • Drive process automation through Alteryx
  • Enhance data visualization through the implementation of Tableau dashboards
  • Explore the further use of advanced analytics tools to simplify processes or provide improved data-driven insights. Minimum qualifications and Experience
  • Highly motivated with strong forward thinking analytical skills, a problem-solving track-record and intellectual curiosity.
  • Works well in a dynamic environment and is able to recommend and implement process improvements, works independently, and handles multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Finance/Economics
  • 3+ years finance/accounting experience, including business planning, reporting, and analysis
  • Strong Excel skills, experience with advanced data analytics tools (mainly Alteryx and Tableau) is an asset
  • Familiar with ERP and reporting systems (SAP, TM1)
  • Strong communication & business partnering skills
