The Manager Sales and Handling is responsible for:

  • The operational steering of sales in the geographical area
  • S/he ensures safety, security and quality of warehouse and aircraft handling activity, including negotiations with service providers and partner airlines on local level
  • S/he represents the LCAG interests in the geographical area in consultation, where necessary, with the F/GC and regional functions
  • S/he implements LCAG’s strategy and plans on the sales and handling side into meaningful activities under the specific local circumstances
  • S/he leads all LH Cargo staff in the geographical area as a disciplinary superior
  • S/he manages the country/district financial tasks and adheres to the cost budget
  • S/he ensures efficient and effective organisation and processes / quality
  • All other duties as assigned or required

The ideal Manager Sales and Handling should meet the following requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Bachelor’s degree desirable
  • Min. 3-5 years of relevant work experience in the logistics or airline industry
  • Adequate knowledge of LH Cargo’s processes and organization. Alternatively, good knowledge of comparable international airline/ logistics industry structures
  • English language required
  • German language required
  • Professional knowledge of Logistics, Airline industry (or comparable know how)
  • Knowledge of the pharma industry desirable
  • MS office, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
  • Assessment screening
  • Willingness to travel
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • CV/Resume and Cover Letter required (can be sent in English or German)
  • Company will not provide relocation assistance
