SummaryManager, Supply Chain Planning is a key contributor in the growth and global expansion of the company’s portfolio with responsibilities that reside largely within the commercial Supply Chain. The Manager, Supply Chain Planning has a proven record planning virtual supply chains and is an effective communicator with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization. The function has an in-depth knowledge of external manufacturing processes and physical distribution principles to be applied into planning horizons and lead times. The position is based in Switzerland and reports to the Director, International Supply Chain. This position also works with other members of Supply Chain and Manufacturing groups to continue enhancing the existing and develop new processes that lead to a highly effective global Supply Chain, which also entails support of global product launches by contributing in the development and execution of a harmonized supply chain Master Planning on global scale.Duties And Responsabilities
  • Manager, Supply Chain Planning is responsible for regular conversion of figures from International Commercial Forecasts to be used for an inventory projection that leads into related manufacturing and inbound requirements for multiple configurations of products over time.
  • Securing the product availability for all International markets including partners/distributors/wholesalers related SKUs by generating a monthly aggregated demand plan.
  • Working closely together with the Global Supply Chain team for pulling forecast data from Global Commercial Operations, Global Clinical Supply as required, and develop global demand plan for commercial Incyte products.
  • Have complete insight in translating these configurations into numbers of batches of product required to ensure saleable or clinical product availability at all time.
  • Maintain and update the IBP model to account for actual demand, current inventory, and strategic/independent demand.
  • Function plays a key role in the use and improvement of the global ERP system and supply chain planning tools to establish policies and standard operating procedures. Establish planning parameters, lead times, and other planning master data as required. The Manager, Supply Chain Planning is the lead for the supply planning tool.
  • Develop and maintain models and assumptions for Master Planning Scheduling and improving the model as required/needed as business grows.
  • Communicate planning issues or delays to appropriate functions as required through scheduled changes, operations meetings and direct contact as required.
  • Collaboratively work with the Logistics and Distribution team to assure the right product at the right place and the right time. Manager, Supply Chain Planning partners with the team to ensure the related logistics, product movements between stock locations within the European distribution footprint as well to our partners worldwide occur at the right time.
  • Function performs project management and/or project support/contribution for defined projects within the supply chain scope.
  • Function performs back-up for selected tasks of the International Supply Chain team as appropriate.
  • Function prepares & is a key contributor in the supply chain part of the monthly S&OP.
  • Contribute positively to a strong culture of business integrity and ethics.
  • Act within compliance and legal requirements as well as within company guidelines.
DELEGATE: N/ARequirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Science or Business discipline like supply chain management. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of supply chain experience in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or Medical Device industry.
  • Proven track record of delivering manufacturing plans/schedules and demonstrated evidence of analytical, planning, and execution capabilities.
  • Ability to lead and engage others to ensure successful production schedule and execution.
  • Experience in working with an ERP strongly desired. SAP/IBP is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with internal and external partners.
  • Understanding of the manufacturing processes and tech transfers within drug substance manufacturing, drug product manufacturing, and packaging.
  • Demonstrated success in various workstreams within Supply Chain but especially within Planning and Scheduling, Inventory Management, Master Data Management, or Supplier Relations.
  • Knowledge of relevant activities within Regulatory Affairs, QA, QC, and Manufacturing as required to efficiently planning manufacturing activities.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (GMPs) and physical distribution activities (GDPs) in the Life Science industry.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft applications with particular focus in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong commitment to business ethics.
  • English fluency written and spoken (the company language).
  • Ability to work in a small sized business environment in a highly regulated compliance setting.
