Manufacturing Site WH & Logistic GBPO

MAKE Automation, Sciences & Technology (MAKE AS&T) is the Global MAKE functional pillar of the Kenvue Consumer Health Global Value Chain (GVC) Organization. It is the technical and operational excellence backbone of the Consumer Health Supply Chain providing Technical Ownership and Executional Excellence, maximizing the synergy of product, process and equipment.

Digital Transformation is a critical component of the Consumer Health strategy to become a digital first company. Consumer Health is investing significantly to align its manufacturing technology strategy and its global manufacturing strategy, focusing on data, digital and automation to bring Consumer Health Supply Chain’s manufacturing capabilities to the next level.

The Manufacturing Site WH & Logistic GBPOwill be responsible to manage, and continuously improve the process domain of ‘Manufacturing Warehouse, Material Flow, supply chain integration”. The role will be globally responsible for the business design, evolution, standardization of the process and alignment across functions, markets / regions.

Major Duties & Responsibilities-

The Manufacturing Site WH & Logistic GBPO will be globally responsible for the following processes-

  • All processes related to intra site logistic, site material flow optimization, storage within manufacturing site warehouses, material planning and integration with production scheduling material replenishment, inventory management, material usage and consumption, inbound and outbound optimization of material movements across warehouses, production and laboratories, integration with source and delivery functions
  • All processes across all the franchises/products (Drugs, Cosmetics, engineered products, Medical Devices, etc…) and production technologies (liquids, solids, packaging & molds, etc…) are in scope

Within the process domain in charge the role will establish a network of process experts in our manufacturing sites and closely collaborate with them in order to-

  • Identify areas of improvements, innovation and standardization of our processes, and drive alignment and adoption of best practices across functions, markets / regions
  • Shape simulations, test&learn and pilots of innovative logistic processes and technologies. Drive requirements for automation, digitalization and evolutions of our IT systems, and actively shape the roadmap towards our manufacturing of the future (smart material handling, automated warehouses, etc...)
  • After successful tests implement process changes in the manufacturing sites, ensure appropriate training, change management and change control working closely with project teams and regional/site teams
  • Identify value and for business, contribute to the long range financial process
  • Create and maintain global core process design documentation, establish knowledge and documentation management governance

Within the process domain in charge the role will support global projects and programs with the following main responsibilities- -

  • Integrate new transformational capabilities into the portfolio in collaboration with all relevant projects and programs leader
  • Work with sites and regions at the definition of business case and value
  • Coordinate fit/gap analysis, process translation and preparation of project related documentation
  • Challenge technology, IT and digital solutions and design against business needs and future process best practises working closely with the manufacturing systems and solutions business owners
  • Ensure the data strategy is in line with the definition and usage of key data objects foundational to the processes (e.g. storage areas, replenishment levels, etc..)

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. Advanced degree is preferred. Preferred Area of Study- Engineering/Science

Experience-

10 years of related experience in Supply Chain (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver). Experience in Operations Excellence/Lean/6-Sigma would be desirable. Preferred Related Industry Experience- Consumer Products, Retail, Supply Chain, Strategy Consulting, Pharmaceutical

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities-

  • Strong manufacturing and logistic background in consumer and/or pharmaceutical industry. Strong understanding of financial, operating and business factors relating to Manufacturing/Supply Chain. Experience as business unit lead, production line leader, warehouse manager or similar roles
  • In-depth understanding of business process management. Prior working experience in driving business process development.
  • ERP & Manufacturing Operation Management (MOM) systems knowledge and practical application is a must. Experience in assessing readiness gaps for digital systems such as ERP, MES, and WMS implementing process management approach to the business
  • Exposed to multiple functions / plant operations with good understanding of the end-to-end supply chain processes
  • Demonstrated ability to understand multi-regional, business unit specific or divisional process and data requirements, and gain alignment to best practice standards with an ability and desire to transform business to a digital future
  • Experience in global consultancy and corporate environment managing and coordinating global teams in matrix organization
  • Ability to collaborate within and across companies, cultures, functions, and geographies to drive change and action
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence leaders and team members to drive decision making and outcomes
  • Ability to effectively facilitate discussions with multiple groups and cross-functional teams. Ability to effectively lead and govern functional decision-making bodies
  • Ability to negotiate & influence in a matrix organization as well as to think strategically and highly analytical.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities-

  • Experience in Business Process Management discipline, preferable education in SixSigma, Kaizen, Lean Management is preferred
  • Experience across the entire supply chain (source, plan, deliver) is preferred
