Your tasks

The Wireless Connectivity Team develops technologies, product concepts and products for wireless antenna applications in close cooperation with product management, market management and our customers.

In the role as Mechanical Development Engineer Technology, you are primarily responsible for the following activities:

  • Develop technical aspects of product design strategies to evaluate and introduce new innovative ideas into the product development cycle.
  • lead technology projects and support the entire development team to use technology profitably incl. mechanical solution of new product and product portfolio key function.
  • Preliminary studies and investigations of future concept, realization of application and development projects (with the main focus on mechanical design).
  • Cooperation with internal departments and external suppliers, partners, Universities and startup companies from various disciplines.
  • Protecting IP ownership.

Your profile

For the position you bring the following qualifications with you:

  • Qualifications (PhD, Dipl.-Ing., MEng, BEng, FH, ETH) as mechanical engineer
  • Years of experience in concept development and implementation of new technical innovative solutions, experienced with products in plastic, metal and compound technology.
  • Practice in the field of design for manufacturing, testing and qualification of new technical solution as well as evaluation and processing of data.
  • Experience in realization, integration and implementation of individual parts and complete products from the concept phase into pre-series production incl. project organization.
  • Experience with 3D CAD tools for design (Catia V5) and with Product Data Management (PDM) and ERP systems.
  • Soft-Skills and experience in dealing (and steering) with partners, suppliers, peers, negotiation-proof occurrence and treatment of technical customer complaints.
