Our client, an Innovative Tech company, is currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer ( Vaud / Fixed position ).

Responsabilities

• Define technical requirements and test protocols, ensuring traceability between requirements, test cases, test plans and test reports.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders from manufacturing of prototypes to testing and industrialization of the products.
• Technology scouting, analysis and feasibility studies.
• Manage corrective and preventive actions on current products
• Design from prototype to product with a strong orientation towards:
• Design for Manufacturing, Assembly and Cost
• Functional requirements integration,
• Industrial design,
• Compliance with the applicable laws and standards.
• Lead sub-contracted development and manufacturing.
  

Perform prototype, verification and validation testing.

Profile

• Mechanical or microtechnology engineering degree or equivalent (BSc required, MSc a plus) with at least 5 years of experience in medical device design or related field.
• Proficiency on SOLIDWORKS.
• Experience in designing miniature mechanisms with strong dimensional and cost constraints, for surgical, medical, or dental instrumentation.
• DFM experience (plastic and metal injection, stamping, …), in particular for medium to high volume manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, creativity, pragmatic skills.
• Good communication skills and willing to take ownership under limited supervision.
• Language: English & French
