We are seeking a dedicated Microbiology Specialist to join our client’s team in the biopharmaceutical industry.This role is based near Geneva.This is a permanent position.As a Microbiology Specialist, you will support routine cGMP manufacturing operations and manage laboratory activities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality product development.This is an excellent opportunity for mid-level professionals with a strong background in Microbiology, excellent problem-solving skills, and a high level of integrity.As a Microbiology Specialist, Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
  • Supervising and reviewing or performing environmental monitoring within the manufacturing and related areas.
  • Managing all laboratory activities in the Microbiology department, including product testing, media release, bioburden, endotoxin, non-host testing, TOC, and conductivity.
  • Investigating microbiological events derived from diverse monitoring and laboratory activities. This includes diligent handling and active participation in the implementation of potential preventive and corrective action plans.
  • Tracking, trending, and compiling results of diverse monitoring to support quality and performance improvement.
  • Participating in laboratory equipment commissioning, editing, and executing related qualification documents, developing and performing microbial/lab method verifications.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with other departments to ensure patient safety, compliance with regulatory guidelines, and timely product delivery.To be successful in this role, the following skills and qualifications are required:
  • BS in Science and a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience of technical management; Master or PhD in Microbiology with respectively a minimum of 3-5- or 1-2-years related experience and/or equivalent training with 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • A high level of integrity, self-confidence, and personal responsibility; initiative, flexibility, and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience and strong background in GMP documentation, orientation for Quality and Customer Service.
  • Fluency in French and good English (B1 level).
Working conditions
  • Working days from Monday to Friday
  • Flexibility required for on call activities duty on week-ends and bank holidays
