Job content

Work on site microscopes and provide service to various users.
Perform routine system maintenance by conducting quality assessments and calibrations of microscopy facilities.
Integrate analysis techniques into imaging pipelines to facilitate researcher access to these tools and integrate new ones in collaboration with image software developers.
Maintain relationship with vendors and supervise them for repair and maintenance activities according to response schedule.
Resolve technical issues related to the microscopes.
Support the training of researchers in the use of microscopes and image analysis software.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position with a Degree in Biophysics, Biophotonics, Optical Engineering or related field.
Expertise in fluorescence microscopy, knowledge of the most common fluorescence microscopy techniques and hands-on experience imaging biological samples
Knowledge of the hardware and software components of a systems light microscope
Experience with image processing and analysis (ImageJ, Python, Labview, MATLAB, etc.)
Experience managing and/or working in a multi-user fluorescence microscopy facility
Fluent in English and French
