Hikma-Solutions is looking for one of its clients "Network Engineer and Support (m/f)" to join a dynamic IT team.
As a Network Engineer and Support Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

1. Providing technical services and support for WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and network security.
2. Troubleshooting and resolving network issues effectively.
3. Remotely monitoring and managing system alerts and notifications.
4. Performing evaluations, maintenance, installations, and training to ensure optimal system performance and user satisfaction.
5. Assisting with projects assigned by management and ensuring timely and accurate implementation.
6. Engineering network security and ensuring compliance with security policies in coordination with the IT department.
7. Participating in major network installations and upgrades.
8. Staying current on relevant network, hardware, software applications, and best practices.
9. Collaborating with vendors to resolve system outages or performance issues.
10. Working constructively with users on hardware and software installation, system upgrades, and new system implementations.
11. Partnering and cooperating cross-functionally to support organizational effectiveness programs and initiatives in alignment with company strategies.
12. Analyzing, resolving, and documenting level 2 support issues.

Job Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field.
  • Fluency in French and English is required; knowledge of German is a plus.
  • 5+ years of direct IT-related experience, with 3-5 years specifically in hardware setup, configuration, and troubleshooting (preferred).
  • Proven track record of positive client relationships and adherence to technology standards.
  • Relevant technical certifications from Cisco, Fortigate, and SonicWall (preferred).
  • IT certifications such as ITIL, Network+, Security+ (preferred).
  • Experience with Dell, Cisco, Synology networking equipment (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to research unique problem requests and develop solutions that meet client and system requirements (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and general computer functions.
  • Broad understanding of Windows Server, operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IDS/IPS, IP Telephony/VoIP, firewalls, and proxy servers to support network issue resolution.
  • Strong analytical thinking, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, cost reduction, and improved outcomes.
  • Capability to take ownership of issues and seek resolution.
  • Willingness to challenge conventional solutions and think creatively to resolve issues.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
