Open Source Advisor (PostgreSQL) (w/m/x)

Your Role and Responsibilities

As Open Source Advisor you will

• generate a transformation journey from existing infrastructure to innovative Open Source SW based approach
• Knowledge of the latest Open Source Software (OSS) trends, practices, and techniques
• add customized Open Source SW based support solutions that better meet customer needs
• offer added values for the customer to accelerate its implementation
• conduct customer discussions to capture customer needs and possible starting points for new architecture and service offers based on Open Source SW technologies
• prepare Statements of Work (SOW) where Open Source Services are part of the solution
• serve as a technical point of contact for existing and prospective customers and the Sales team
• lead the gathering of architecture, design, and presentation of solutions to meet the needs of prospective customers in conjunction with Open Source Services solution

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
We are looking for a professional with a minimum of 5 years experience with various Open Source Software with database focus e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB, EDB, Java but also other products like Node Red or Elastic Search.

• Certification: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent Linux distributor certification
• Deep product experience in OSS and solutions
• Experience in solving complex problems for enterprise organizations
• Ability to work well in a Team
• Excellence in oral and written communications in English and German

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
More than 5 years experience in Linux (RedHat/Suse, RHCOS); Infrastructur (e.g. Release Planning, Network, User Mngmt., CI/CD); Container Platform(e.g. Kubernetes, Openshift)
Further Skills: Automation (e.g. Ansible), Monitoring
