We are actively seeking a talented technical Oracle Finance Support Business Analyst, Swiss or EU member fluent in English, enthusiastic about being a key partner for all Finance and IT stakeholders. This hybrid position is based in Zurich-Regensdorf, where you will join the Finance team approximately 3 days per week. Notably, this new role offers excellent opportunities for someone ambitious and ready to make a substantial impact.

As a part of X-Rite Pantone, you will be responsible is to serve as the Oracle expert, based in Regensdorf ( Zürich) for the Global Finance team, collaborating closely with finance partners to document requirements, create functional designs, and monitor project progress. You are a part of the Global IT Oracle team reporting to the US-based Oracle Support Manager.

You inherently excel as a networker, both internally and externally, at all levels. Engaging on both local and global scales, you will act as the Oracle expert, assuming responsibility and providing guidance for global processes. Additionally, you will involve pre-release testing and collaborating with the worldwide enterprise team to secure support for optimizing business processes, significantly contributing to operational excellence and innovation.

  • Work with business partners to understand and document their business processes, issues, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Document precise requirements, prepare functional design documents, monitor project progress, and test solutions before release to users for further user testing.
  • Work with the global enterprise team to get the necessary support or solutions to support business processes.
  • Provide short-term, mid-term, and long-term solutions to business issues.
  • Coordinate testing with end users.
  • Prepare training materials and provide user training for new processes.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Ensure adequate support for Oracle solutions.
  • Use Oracle Support to research new functionality, troubleshoot problems, and escalate into Service Requests as needed.
  • Identify improvements to be made to existing solutions and processes.
  • Ensure proper application management practices are in place.
  • Provide customer service to the assigned business groups and meet escalated operational needs.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting and support when required.
  • Hands-on experience in ticketing and change management tools like Jira, Alloy, etc.
  • Utilize VES, participate in daily management meetings, adhere to standard work, and work with the team to continuously improve the process.
  • relavant experience as an Oracle Business Analyst or similar role, supporting the Oracle financials modules using Oracle’s E-Business Suite (EBS) or Oracle Cloud.
  • Demonstrated solid understanding of business processes; prior business-level experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve procedures and standards, ensuring quality and service delivery to customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to document precise business requirements and solutions needed to meet business requirements and to translate the requirements into functional designs for Oracle, 3rd party add-ons, extensions, and interfaces. Experience with Oracle AIM or OUM methodology preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform effective prioritization with limited resources and drive results with a high emphasis on quality.
  • Solid understanding of best practices in ERP usage and ability to bring a consulting approach to help the business solve issues and challenges.
  • Proven experience working with Oracle Support to investigate, research, recommend, and test Oracle EBS patches.
  • Demonstrated Problem Management and Root Cause Analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and relationships with business users and leaders.
  • Technical skills are a plus, including writing SQL and PL/SQL queries using TOAD, EBS Workflow Administrator, and XML Publisher.
  • University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Excellent verbal, active listening, and written communication skills and demonstrated facilitation skills.
  • English language spoken and written fluency required; second language proficiency preferred.
  • Keen attention to detail; solid organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel for global deployment and support.

Preferred Qualification

  • Good Understanding of EMEA Localization
  • Good Knowledge of European VAT
  • Prior experience in manufacturing industry
