Poker Dealer – part-time, on call

Within the new Swiss Gambling law, poker is allowed outside of casinos in licensed poker clubs. Poker Club Davos is one of these licensed clubs and we are looking to build a new team. We will train candidates with no experience who want to work in this exciting industry. The first training course is set to start in February.

Position Summary:

A Poker Room Dealer will perform the act of dealing and running a game in a professional manner while providing excellent guest service. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal and local regulations as well as Poker Club Davos policies, practices, and procedures.

Ideal candidate:

• Strong problem-solving and listening skills
• Ability to calculate math solutions quickly and accurately without a calculator
• Hand agility to handle poker cards and chips
• Able to effectively communicate in English and German, in verbal forms
• Ability to communicate effectively, concisely and logically in a timely manner
• Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with customers

Requirements:

• At least 18 years old
• Swiss passport holder, Swiss work permit holder, EU passport holder
• Willingness to learn and participate in yearly employment development and training courses
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Unter dem neuen Schweizer Glücksspielgesetz ist Poker ausserhalb von Casinos in lizenzierten Pokerclubs erlaubt. Poker Club Davos ist einer dieser lizenzierten Clubs und ist dabei, ein neues Team aufzubauen. Wir bilden Kandidaten ohne Erfahrung aus, die in dieser spannenden Branche arbeiten möchten. Der erste Ausbildungsgang ist für diesen Februar geplant.

Zusammenfassung der Position:

Ein Poker-Dealer führt die Tätigkeit des Kartengebens und Abwicklung eines Spiels auf professionelle Weise durch und bietet gleichzeitig einen exzellenten Gästeservice. Alle Pflichten müssen in Übereinstimmung mit nationalen und kantonalen Vorschriften sowie den Richtlinien, Praktiken und Verfahren des Poker Club Davos ausgeführt werden.

Ideale Kandidaten:

• Starke Problemlösungs- und Zuhörfähigkeiten
• Fähigkeit, mathematische Lösungen schnell und genau ohne Taschenrechner zu berechnen
• Geschicklichkeit im Umgang mit Pokerkarten und Chips
• Kann in verbaler Form effektiv auf Englisch und Deutsch kommunizieren
• Fähigkeit, zeitnah, effektiv, prägnant und logisch zu kommunizieren
• Multitasking-Fähigkeit und gute Arbeit in einem schnelllebigen, teamorientierten Umfeld
• Hervorragende Kundendienst- und zwischenmenschliche Fähigkeiten

Anforderungen:

• Mindestens 18 Jahre alt
• Inhaber eines Schweizer Passes, Inhaber einer Schweizer Arbeitserlaubnis, Inhaber eines EU-Passes
• Lernbereitschaft und Teilnahme an jährlichen Entwicklungs- und Schulungskursen
• Bereitschaft zur Nacht-, Wochenend- und Feiertagsarbeit

Art der Stelle: 40-60%, 20-40%, 10-20%
Arbeitsstunden: 6-42 pro Woche

Gehalt: ab CHF18.00 pro Stunde
