Precision Agriculture offerings give farmers and customers novel insights on how to protect their crops against a range of pest pressures. The Precision Agriculture team at FMC is building a portfolio of new applications and services. As the European Market Development Lead, you will develop the go to market strategy for our precision applications; integrating Precision Ag technology in the traditional FMC go-to-market approach and enabling the FMC commercial organization to leverage their use for commercializing FMC’s product portfolio. This responsibility will include identifying markets for expansion, working with regional and technical teams to prioritize plans across geographies, developing the pilot programs for those markets, preparing for commercial launch, and managing the precision platform post-launch.



Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of establishing and driving a successful sales team. He/She will be responsible to drive growth, especially in the context of building a team and delivering an integrated commercial plan for launching the precision platform in conjunction with the in-market crop protection portfolio. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader capable of using judgment, business acumen and integrity to understand overall business needs and execute strategies.


The EMEA Development Lead will have the opportunity to work with in-market managers in our EMEA markets and develop a globally harmonized, yet locally tailored approach to those markets. The candidate will have a high level of interaction with FMC’s executive leadership and will have the opportunity to share strategies directly with them.

This role is preferred to be located Geneva.

Expectations:

  • Create an expansion plan for FMC’s newest precision ag solution. You will work side by side with FMC leaders and commercial team to determine next markets to prioritize
  • To execute on the expansion plan, you will build launch plans for each market. Launch planning will include:
    • Identifying and managing potential local partnerships
    • In conjunction with regional teams, designing a pilot to drive adoption and expand users
    • In conjunction with regional teams, designing a product application strategy that leverages the new technology to advance FMC’s crop protection objectives
    • Creating a marketing strategy, developing marketing materials and allocating budget for marketing communications channels
  • After launch in market, you will:
    • Provide high level oversight on operations and manage the product lifecycle post-launch
    • Deliver consistent communications to our users
    • Determine the technology advancement needs for a given area by weighing FMC’s revenue, strategic importance, data needs and other factors

Required Education:

  • BA/BS in finance, business, marketing, or relevant field
  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred


Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in business development, customer management, sales or related field, preferably as a manager or team leader
  • In depth understanding of market research methods and strong analytical skills
  • Profound knowledge of financial/budgeting processes and performance reporting
  • Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; able to articulate and convey complex ideas
  • Comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast paced and fun environment
  • Ability to work on global projects; work with large teams in different time zones and locations
  • High proficiency in MS Office suite
