For our client in Basel-Land, a private company specialized in innovative formulations for pharmaceuticals with known active ingredients, which develops, attains approval, manufactures, and packages these products, we are seeking a candidate to join our team.

Project Chemist in R&D (m/f/d), 100%

Responsibilities:

• Actively collaborate as a team member with chemists, engineers, and technicians
• Focus on planning, developing, and optimizing cost-effective, eco-friendly, safe, and scalable chemical processes for pharmaceutical substance production
• Facilitate the transfer of chemical processes to GMP manufacturing facilities, offer production support and troubleshoot complex problems
• Engage with a diverse project team comprising of project managers, analytical chemists, QA managers, production chemists, and safety/health/environment and purchasing staff
• Ensure consistent adherence to deadlines and budgets as per project requirements
• Cooperate closely with external customers

Requirements:

• You hold a PhD in synthetic chemistry, with a preference for Organic Chemistry
• Optimally you have experience in chemical process development and transferring chemical processes to pilot or production scale
• Proficient in MS Office programs
• Knowledge of cGMP regulations is a plus
• Familiarity with DoE software (Stavex, Modde) and reaction modeling tools (Dynochem, Visimix) is favorable
• You exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills
• You are both fluent in German and English
• You are known as a strong team player with a structured approach to work
