The Position

Artek is hiring a Project Manager for product development. You will join an international team of design enthusiasts who is in charge for the Artek product portfolio. We are looking for someone who likes to have full project ownership and drives things forward with entrepreneurial spirit.

Your Responsibilities
  • Conception, design and testing of components as well as checking and optimisation of the design by the means of models and prototypes
  • Product development in cross-functional teams, as well as with suppliers, in iterative feedback loops and short-term project cycles (sprints), taking into account agile methods
  • Joint project coordination with product management from project start to release for product realization
  • Creative collaboration with designers and in-house prototyping workshops
  • Design of all components taking into account product-specific standards and guidelines
  • Creation of assemblies, development drawings as well as kinematic models using CAD
  • Preparation of project-specific documents and documentation
  • Definition of product quality
  • Project management in the innovation phase
  • Leading project meetings, monitoring deadlines and responsibility for prototype construction, compiling the development cost book and arranging all necessary tests in the innovation phase
  • Cost estimation in the development phase (cost book)
  • Construction of design samples and prototypes
  • Creation of data for the patent application
Your Qualification
  • Completed technical studies or technical training with further training as a technician specializing in design, general mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or wood technology
  • Several years of experience in the field of construction or mould making
  • Strong communication skills and structured way of working
  • User knowledge of CAD systems is mandatory, free-form surface modelling in Unigraphics is an advantage
  • Creativity and a high level of enthusiasm for innovation with a strong customer orientation
  • Ability to work in a team and flexibility
  • Knowledge of agile methods (e.g. design thinking)
  • English is spoken in the Artek team. German skills would be of advantage for the collaboration in cross-functional teams
