About the role


The unit "Service Projects" of the Corporate Real Estate Service Management department is looking for a Project- & Planning-Manager. You will directly report to the Unit Head Service Projects.

Within the Swiss Re Group, we drive service projects for Corporate Real Estate Management on a global scale.


As part of a dynamic and diverse team you are responsible for


  • leading service projects and managing the overall coordination of different projects of strategic importance

  • translating strategic initiatives into project goals and its successful implementation in an agile setup as product owner and/or scrum master

  • mitigation of project risks, deliver on time, within deadline, budget and scope

  • proactively involve stakeholders and clients to ensure value-oriented delivery

  • as part of your role your support the unit head service management in:

  • project portfolio planning, management, controlling and steering

  • management of project demand

  • resource allocation and rolling resource planning

  • handling multiple parties with opposite demands and interests

  • encouraging co-creation and cross-functional-collaboration

About You


  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a project manager, whereof 2+ years on agile methodology, as a Product Owner or Scrum Master

  • Multiple years of professional experience within the financial industry or within consulting

  • Proven skills in translating strategic initiatives into project goals

  • Strong skills in managing project portfolios as well as steering project demand and resource management

  • High willingness to perform and take over responsibility. Enthusiastic and innovative to drive topics forward and implement

  • Strong can-do mentality with an entrepreneurial approach, a solution oriented as well as cross-functional attitude

  • Independent working style and willingness to learn

  • Motivating and inspiring personality with a good portion of humour

  • Strong communication and presentation skills on different levels of hierarchy

  • Proficiency in German and English

  • Excellent skills on MS Office and JIRA

  • University degree, further education on either project management or scrum methodology is a prerequisite
