We are looking for Property Risk Engineer, to be based in Zurich.
Your Team
Reporting to the Allianz Risk Consulting (ARC) Property Team Leader for the Region, you will be responsible for providing loss-control expertise, supporting and assisting our customers.
The Impact You Will Have
As part of the AGCS global Allianz Risk Consulting team, you will play an active role in risk selection alongside our Underwriters and will implement prevention plans and provide technical expertise to our claims teams.
This position requires strong relationship skills to develop and maintain professional working relationships both outside Allianz among customers and brokers, but also internally with our underwriters, claims professionals and risk engineers
Some Of Your Specific Responsibilities Could Include
- Perform desktop reviews and risk assessments on loss control topics
- Participate in client meetings to assist underwriters and promote the loss prevention department
- Work with clients and brokers to develop customized and cost-effective loss-control programs
- Perform or co-ordinate third party surveys
- Revise and validate plant maintenance plans
- Generate / review reports and issue necessary recommendations
- Monitor loss-control measures and keep cost expenses within the budget
- Review claims reports and support our claims department during the adjustment process
- Monitor technical developments and regulations in the sector, in order to inform and advise AGCS’ strategic direction
We’d like to find an experienced Engineer who is already familiar with risk assessments and loss-control. Ideally you have expertise in Fire Prevention (eg. Sprinklers), or experience in industrial or chemical processes, in the automotive, pharmaceutical or technology manufacturing sectors.
- You are a self-starter able to develop and implement initiatives
- You are a strong team player, and communicate clearly with all parties, whether internally or externally
- Fluent in German and English, you enjoy engaging with people from every cultural background
- You are data-focussed, enjoy analytics and have an interest in new technologies in engineering
- You can travel on regular basis, mostly locally and occasionally in Europe or beyond
