We are looking for an ambitious applicant, who shares our mission of a low carbon future, to join our carbon finance and operations team. SCB is a world leading low carbon commodity company relentlessly pursuing a low carbon future.


The chosen applicant will be assist with all finance and operational duties linked to our principal carbon desk. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, tech savvy and works well under pressure.


Our headquarters are in Nyon, Switzerland supported by four global offices located in London, Chicago, Puerto Rico and Singapore.


Who We Look For

Candidates should be interested in a career within the environmental, commodity or financial markets. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in one of the following discisplines:


  • Finance
  • Accounting
  • Computer Science or related
  • Engineering

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and competencies:

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required
  • Experience with an ERP is necessary, knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics a plus
  • Knowledge of PowerBI a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational, time management and ability to work under pressure
  • Results-oriented with personal accountability
  • Excellent attention to detail, quality and control
  • A self-starter, able to work on own initiative with a willingness to take responsibility
  • Capable of delivering information in an efficient manner
  • Legal right to live and work in Switzerland
  • Fluent English, other languages a plus

What You Will Do

The role will encompass the following:


  • Maintain Microsoft Dynamics master data (new customers, products etc)
  • Issuance of sales and purchase orders for carbon credit transactions
  • Collection activities for outstanding invoices
  • Coordinate activities between the trading desk, legal department and finance
  • Ensure the timely processing of carbon credit transfers
  • Reconcile carbon inventory in Microsoft Dynamics to credit registries
  • Assist in the development of processes and technology as the business scales up
  • Creation and maintenance of management reporting in PowerBI
  • Review of mark to market prices of carbon credits for accuracy
  • Assist on ad-hoc finance projects
