In this transformation journey, Enterprise and Solution Architects plays very important role in driving the overall strategy in context of the client ecosystem.

BFS Transformation and Architecture Office (TAO)
BFS TAO is the group responsible for driving emerging technologies across leading financial services clients of Cognizant, nurturing and delivering a holistic competency, focusing on technology and business transformation initiatives of our clients working with senior client stakeholders, Cognizant internal service lines and industry partners. This is a niche group of Enterprise and Solution Architects across the globe actively providing solutions on Architecture, Design and Technology Road map for leading financial services providers.

The Role
This job opportunity will fulfil the role of Technology Partner for a Global Tier 1 Swiss Bank - one of the largest global accounts of Cognizant.

As Technology Partner for one of the largest and fast growing global account of Cognizant, you will play a key role in designing and influencing multiple client initiatives across technology and business transformation, organizational transformation to be more lean and agile organization, automation across business and IT processes, and balancing objectives to meet budget and time constraints. As part of the broader team, you will leverage combined capabilities of your fellow architects and solution SMEs in domain areas to formulate your solutions. As the lead member of the solutions team, you will hold accountability for the overall vision, key components of enterprise solution across business, technology and operational processes.

You will also be jointly responsible for success of complex/strategic deliveries as a leader in the team (in solution definition, design, governance, and advisory capability). You will ensure that envisioned solution becomes reality and fulfil commitments provided to client. Overall, the role demands a good mix of advisory, solutioning and hands-in technical implementations skills in contemporary software design styles and technology platforms.

Being part of the pan-European technology office of Banking and Financial Services (BFS) industry practice, you will also have responsibility to collaborate with fellow architects and solution SMEs to develop thought leadership and asset base that will help us not just win new business but also help deliver high quality solution in a repeatable manner across engagements. Nurturing talent, enablement and evangelization are also expected to be areas of contribution from a practice perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain relationship with global and regional / departments technology leaders and other senior leaders of the client organization, be the sparring partner, provide thought leadership and create mind share
• Build a reputation as a trusted partner who understands the business and collaborates to deliver on commitments and drive business result
• Work with the Customer Enterprise Architecture teams and CXO Teams for critical decisions for strategic investment in Technology, plan and execute proof of concept / technology to facilitate decision making
• Support commercial teams in RFP/RFQ, proactive proposals and business development activities
• Anchoring end to end solution for large complex pursuits, involving customer, internal and partner stakeholders
• Steer win themes, solution considerations and support financial construct for complex deals
• Implement solution considerations across business, process, technology and operations with the help of fellow SMEs and service line colleagues
• Help Customer in their technology roadmap, Digital Journey and share industry views
• Support Cognizant and client teams in identifying hotspots in the current application landscape and provide solutions to rectify
• Develop relationship with third party advisors and technology partners to have joint solution offerings
• Develop industry specific end to end solutions ideas by working with Industry team across Markets and Delivery
• Evaluate and challenge technology solutions provided by various Vendors and in-house teams to arrive an optimal solution
• Ensure tight governance and deal review governance with all stakeholders
• Participate in implementation programs to contribute and oversee implementation of the solution propositions and ensure high quality software product delivery, risk & technical debt management, strategic alignment and operational readiness of the delivered solution

Qualifications & Experience:

• 15+ years of experience in IT/Business/Consulting domain, focusing on architecting solutions of strategic importance to their organization/clients
• Experience as a Solution Lead/Delivery Lead in managing large deals/pursuit as well as actual execution of such large programs
• Solid understanding of different software development lifecycle models and expert knowledge in agile and traditional principles, with the ability to blend processes to find the right fit for technology and business.
• Understanding of the breadth of end-to-end technology stack and depth with one platform, especially contemporary cloud-oriented platforms being used in enterprise business software space.
• A strong foundation on systems thinking, design thinking, complexity management and domain driven design paradigms
• Understanding of role and positioning of IOT, Data & Analytics, cloud and Systems engineering in enterprise business software and digital transformation programs across banking and financial services industry
• Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, with public speaking expertise presenting at meetups and conference
• Ability to motivate others by demonstrating a clear purpose for the team and how their work fits into the company’s strategy while facilitating a sense of autonomy and creating an environment where people can continue to master their craft through professional development.
• An ability to dynamically adapt to shifts in priorities and programs, resolving contention and solving problems across technology and our customers.
• Ability to get their hands-dirty/roll-up the sleeves to “lead by example” on the ground.
