You will be part of the Investment Platform of our PAM Technology Department. This department brings together all the internal applications and vendor systems used by all Pictet AM front offices, Trading, and Operations staff worldwide for managing and supporting equity, fixed-income, multi-asset, fund of funds and hedge fund portfolios.

As a Database Developer you will be one of the key players in the maintenance and evolution of our current systems and in their move to cloud environments.

Your role

  • Working as a member of an Agile team of IT specialists and financial professionals.
  • Ensuring the quality of deliverables (DB scripts, documentation, etc.).
  • Defining and implementing database cloud strategy.
  • Providing support during production incidents.
  • Actively taking part in the chapter community, proposing technical upgrades and initiatives to reduce technical debt.

Your profile

  • Strong work experience in relational database scripting and programming, preferably in Oracle.
  • Good experience and knowledge with database administration, performance tuning and troubleshooting on at least one of the following systems: MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MS-SQL Server or Amazon Aurora.
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud platform.
  • Knowledge of “NoSQL” databases (such as Mongo-DB) and “cloud oriented” databases (such as Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse).
  • Good command of French and English coupled with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
