The Cytiva Sustainability team is a global team that is focused on reducing our impacts on the environment while maximizing our impacts on society, both locally and globally. We are looking for the right team member to take on EMEA manufacturing sites and facilities to reduce our carbon footprint, our impact on water, and eliminate waste to landfill and incineration. What You’ll Do
  • Partner with Cytiva’s Global Supply Chain, Site and Facilities Leaders, EHS, Operations, Real Estate, among others, to develop strategies and lead continuous improvement.
  • Using Cytiva’s corporate sustainability targets, reduce Cytiva’s climate impact by focusing on Scope 1 & Scope 2 emissions, Water, and Waste.
  • Lead and facilitate energy, waste, and water DBS kaizens and mentor others to become certified practitioners.
  • Collaborate with Cytiva Sites to build long-term and annual site sustainability targets and establish road maps to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with numerous stakeholders, across different functions and geographies within Cytiva and external to our organization, who are instrumental to the success of our sustainability program.
  • Lead the collection, measurement, and verification of quarterly and annual metrics on carbon emissions, water, and waste at the Global and Site level and identify trends and deliver clear actions.
  • Partner with the Cytiva Real Estate Team, Operations, Site Leadership, and Project Management Teams to deliver all new construction, renovations, and real estate acquisitions to a Net-Zero environmental impact across emissions, energy, water, and waste.
  • Establish, lead, and represent regional programs in priority areas for our customers; areas such as Emissions and Energy, Water, Plastics, and Packaging.
Who You Are
  • Master’s degree in Supply, Logistics, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability, or a related field and 5 - 10 years of related experience
  • Desire to lead functional team or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity in initiatives across a large multi-stakeholder, matrixed organization
  • Dynamic, results focused and able to manage multiple priorities while building and maintaining trust and respect both within and outside the business; consistently delivering high quality results
  • Able to clearly communicate complex concepts and negotiate with others to adopt a different point of view
  • Integrity: accepting and adhering to high ethical, moral, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others
  • Preferred: Expertise in greenhouse gas / carbon emissions, water, and waste; Certified Energy Manager or Green Building (LEED, BREEAM) Certification
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region up to 40% of the time
