Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience programming in Java, C/C++, C#, Objective C, Python, JavaScript, Kotlin, Dart, and/or Go.
  • Experience managing Software Engineering teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing and growing Engineering teams.
  • Experience in the mobile messaging space.
  • Experience in designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching team members.
  • Experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design, along with experience in mobile platforms, internet, video and streaming.
  • Excellent people management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Software Engineers, including task planning and code reviews.
  • Drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
  • Be responsible for the overall planning, actioning, and success of technical projects.
  • Work closely with Product Management teams to ensure excellent product development.
  • Help to lead an Engineering team to deliver messages quickly, reliably, securely, and privately to seamlessly connect all users with their world.
