JOB PURPOSE:
As Freight Controller, you will assist in managing the financial information flow, and providing accurate and timely data to the Management. Acting as a business partner you will have the opportunity to work with all other departments including trading, operations, compliance, risk, corporate accounting, and global controlling teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Prepare the daily position and P&L generation and reporting (including the voyages P&L and open position P&L);
* Analyse and investigate with traders and operators the daily P&L variances to ensure accurate reporting;
* Perform reconciliations of the accounting system versus the trading system and collaborate with the operators to close the completed voyages;
* Implement new tools to analyze the actuals versus trader estimates on the voyages for the trading and operation teams;
* Prepare the month-end closing, and ensure it is reported timely and in an accurate manner (ledger entries booking, balance sheet integrity control, monthly schedules, etc);
* Prepare the IFRS PnL and its reconciliation with the managerial PnL;
* Liaise with internal and external auditors;
* Assist the controller to provide P&L analysis down to PBT level for the management;
* Handle ad hoc reporting requests from management and other teams;
* Assist the controller to prepare the Statutory Accounts;
* Identify improvement opportunities in the current processes.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong analytical skills;
* Highly organized and motivated;
* Excellent written and oral communication skills;
* Knowledge / strong interest in the physical trading;
* Ability to think outside the box, with a "can-do" attitude;
* Proficiency in Excel;
* IMOS / SAP system knowledge (preferable);
* 4-5 years of experience in accounting, controlling, or auditing functions in the trading industry, preferably in a multinational corporation or audit firm;
* Bachelor’s Degree in Finance;
* Fluent in English (oral and written).
