HR Manager (m/f)

To support our Advanced Materials division, we are looking for an opportunity as HR Managerwithin our European HR team. This permanent and full-time position is ideally located in our largest divisional manufacturing site in Monthey, Switzerland.

Your role will be instrumental in providing both a strategic and hands-on approach on the full Human Resources cycle. You will act as HR business partner and change agent on site ensuring consistent implementation of best-in-class HR processes including recruitment, performance management, development, coaching & mentoring as well as retention of our people.

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, flexible and proactive HR business partner with the capability to build strong relationshipwith Site Leadership Team members and associates in the site and the ability todevelop innovative HR solutions and process. Working as part of a dynamic and well-established HR EMEAI team, you will report to the European HR Manager, Advanced Materials, with a dotted line to the Monthey Site Manager.

As HR Manager, You Will
  • Support the growth strategies of the Advanced Materials business by developing HR strategies and initiatives to attract, develop and retain our talented associates
  • Provide HR advice as a key member of the site leadership team and act as a trusted business partner.
  • Develop and implement adequate and innovative HR solutions taking into consideration corporate guidelines and local social legislation.
  • Develop and lead HR related projects aligned with the site strategy in collaboration with site manager and drive delivery together with the site leadership team
  • Lead and develop the HR team based on site (up to 2 team members) and ensure global, regional and local priorities are properly set and communicate to the team
  • Be responsible for the delivery of a high-quality hands-on HR activities while providing strategic HR direction, vision and solutions to the site
  • Actively participate in the local, European and global HR community as well as site leadership meetings and build up efficient relationships
  • Drive the performance management process by assisting the management in implementing/maintaining/improving effective performance management.
  • Manage works council relations in compliance with related legislation and act as first point of contact.
  • Closely and effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders across the business and at any level in the organisation
  • Ensure compliance to Huntsman safety and Ethics & Compliance guidelines
Requirements
  • University degree or higher diploma in HR with solid professional experience (8-10 years) in an HR function, ideally as generalist
  • Strong understanding and expertise in Swiss labor law
  • Prior experience leading, coaching, and mentoring direct reports
  • Experience with matrix and complex changing work environment
  • Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement
  • Strong internal and external customer focus
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a result-oriented manner
  • Flair for figures and IT literate (MS office) - Knowledge of Workday as HR database is a plus
  • Knowledge / experience in project management and lean tools is a plus
  • Fluent in French and English (written & verbal), other language an asset
