Inside Sales Specialist - Unstructured Data Solutions - Next Gen Sales Academy

Dell Technologies’s NextGen Sales Inside Sales organization continues to offer exciting growth opportunities for our sales teams. These solutions are highly differentiated with comprehensive software, hardware, and cloud portfolio capable of meeting the diverse spectrum of recovery time and recovery point objectives for our customers. This role is critical to both the inside and field sales teams. It represents a critical component to our revenue stream, while also providing sales leadership in leading more complex sales opportunities across a district. These roles offer the opportunity to further build and refine your sales, technical, and financial acumen with expanded visibility from both the inside and field sales organizations.

Overview of the role:

As an Unstructured Data Specialist, you will be responsible for driving unstructured data solutions into Dell Technologies’s existing account base. You will maintain tight alignment with the core account team to drive incremental pipeline opportunities into strategic verticals. In addition, you will leverage these relationships to enable your ecosystem to uncover unstructured workflows and opportunities in Dell Technologie’s existing install base. This role will maintain a tight alignment to the extended account team, acting as the primary driver of all transactional opportunities and assisting in large transformational campaigns. You will:
  • Provide experienced mentorship and direction to the Core Sales team on our Unstructured Data Solutions product portfolio
  • Become a subject matter expert in the area of Unstructured Data Solutions
  • Understand and maximize complex multidimensional solutions and explain how they will benefit the customer’s business
  • Achieve or exceed targets by selling solutions and developing positive relationships with our partners, distributors, and executive leadership
  • Utilize strategic probing to identify, evaluate and recommend highly sophisticated alternative technology solutions
  • Proactively call on prospects and customers based on qualified leads
  • Continue to train and develop your solution sales skills and benefit from a huge training offering within NGSA and outside.

Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Knowledge of products and services, industry trends, and competition to position Dell’s products effectively with customers
  • High sales activity and proven experience managing demand generation programs
  • Ability and willingness to maintain and expand on technical expertise
  • Strong communication and messaging skills coupled with financial sales capabilities
  • Willingness and passion to learn more about the unstructured data solutions market including technologies, trends, and the competitive landscape

Desirable Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a relationship selling role
  • Strong desire to pursue a field selling role as the next step in your career
  • Technical understanding of key data center components (Compute, Network, Storage)
  • Experience selling competitive storage products i.e. HP, IBM, Net App, Oracle, etc.
