Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with web and mobile technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks (e.g., AngularJS, ReactJS, etc.).
  • Experience writing and managing systems and technical requirements.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in technical roles such as Product Management and Engineering.
  • Experience in Internet products and technologies, with excellent written and verbal business communication skills.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with stakeholders and work cross-functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent relationship building, collaboration, agreement discussions, project management, and analytical skills.

About the job

The Google Technical Services Product and Tools Operations team maintains the close relationships with the Engineering and Product partners necessary to develop and improve Google’s products and internal tools. We are champions of the customer experience, advocating for feature requests and offering product improvements backed by data-driven insights. Our work enables Google Technical Services teams to deliver delightful support to Google’s millions of customers.

Google Assistant is at the forefront of Google’s transformation to ambient computing. Our team works in lockstep with Product Management, Engineering and Product Partnerships to inspire and realize an ambient future for Google’s top partners. This in turn provides users with a rich ecosystem of ambient user journeys.

As a Partner Technology Manager for Google Assistant, you’ll work at the cutting edge of user experience. You will work as part of a global cross-functional team to identify and support partners. Product Managers set out a vision, the Product Partnership’s team present and commits a partner to implement on Google Assistant, your role is to then support the partner to design and implement the experience. You’ll consult on the technical opportunities and boundaries, help them launch their first version, and support them to iterate to drive adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Script early stage proof of concepts to automate user journeys on the web to assist users.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to make script development faster and inform the product strategy for tooling and infrastructure of Duplex Web.
  • Provide technical consulting to Partners who want to create or improve an Google Assistant Application.
  • Perform code reviews, support new product features, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges.
  • Advocate and support external developers by drafting and providing necessary technical documentation and guidance.
