It is an international community with more than 150 nationalities amongst the 1800-day and 240 boarding students. They come together on a green, village-like campus covering 8 hectares.MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLEAt CDL, human resources are focused on understanding what people need and knowing how to provide it.We are in search of a qualified and resourceful HR generalist to support our team during a maternity leave as from September / October and for six months, in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The HR generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping us to implement services, policies, and programs. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Generalist will assist and advise managers about HR issues and focus on providing exceptional employees’ experience.Our ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and French, will have excellent communication & organizational skills, and experience in HR in an international environment.Key Responsibilities
  • Act as key point of contact for staff on HR-related matters.
  • Participate in implementing and monitoring guidelines and procedures.
  • Investigate complaints brought forward by employees.
  • Coordinate employees’ development plans and performance management.
  • Contribute to staff onboarding and orientations.
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity as required.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
Skills And Competencies
  • Bilingual in French and English (at least level C1 in both languages required)
  • Degree’s in HR, business, or a related field
  • Excellent command of Swiss legislation
  • Experience in HR in an international environment
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office – perfect command of EXCEL, HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed.
It is important that the post holder is always aware of Child Protection guidelines and observes a professional distance from students whilst still developing effective working and caring relationships.You understand and embrace the importance of diversity and inclusion and stand against discrimination in any form. Background investigations and reference checks for the past ten years will be conducted during the selection process.
