Senior Director, People and Organisation, Switzerland

The position
As a Senior Director for People and Organisation (P&O), you will act as the strategic partner to the Swiss leadership team to drive and implement the strategic direction for Novo Nordisk Switzerland. Together with your team you will drive key change projects for the organisation and serve as an employee partner assisting on matters impacting growth, performance, and employment.

In this role, you will report directly to the General Manager and manage a team of three, formed of two HR Business Partners / Learning & Development Managers and an Internal Communications manager. You will be an active member of the NN Switzerland Leadership Team and Region North West Europe P&O Leadership Team, co-driving to different regional projects.

Your responsibilities will also include:
  • Coaching, advising, and supporting leaders at all levels to enhance business performance, in line with the company growth strategy
  • Acting as a trusted business partner and coach to leaders, fostering organisational development, aligned with business objectives and the Novo Nordisk Way
  • Establishing an environment where employee development is central to performance and experience, driving organizational growth
  • Overseeing seamless handling of operational P&O tasks, systems, and processes, including the management of Regional Service Centre team and Total Rewards processes
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to assess employee performance, developing career paths, and building internal talent pipeline, while implementing organisational tools to facilitate successful business transitions and change adoption

Qualifications
As a person, you are a dynamic individual fluent in English and preferably also confident in German, showcasing your ability to engage with a diverse audience. You are capable of managing multiple tasks with efficiency, precision and ease, in a fast-paced work environment.
  • You hold a relevant academic degree preferably within Human Resource Management
  • You have a progressive career background in P&O / HR, including leadership, coaching and stakeholder management experience preferably within a multinational environment
  • Knowledge of Swiss labour law is an advantage
  • Your ability to think strategically enables you to translate business priorities into Human Resources activities, based on a strong business acumen and a thorough understanding of challenges and outlook
  • You have demonstrated the successful creation and execution of people strategies and proven ability to implement and sustain business improvement and results
  • You are willing to deep-dive into operational tasks to ensure seamless functioning of P&O operations

Novo Nordisk Pharma AG is the Swiss Affiliate, with around 100 employees, dedicated to making a remarkable difference to patients across the country. Located at the Circle, Zurich Airport. The Swiss Affiliate belongs to Region North West Europe, which is part of IO (International Operations).
