The Senior Manager Strategy will be responsible for leading the implementation of THV business strategies and initiatives.This role is set for temporary contract as maternity leave cover.Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy. Drive EU THV strategy process by liaising with US and European counterparts ensuring key deadlines are met. Conduct environmental analyses for individual European countries, explaining how market dynamics affects Edwards EU business now and in future years. Design market models illustrating disease etiology, severity, symptom status and risk scores. Refine existing models with improvements in understanding of disease progression and how new patients develop the disease and become indicated for aortic valve replacement. Distil models into simple-to-read and update excel workbooks and Powerpoint documents for various levels of understanding within the organization.
  • Market Analysis. Be responsible for regular tracking of the medical and business literature around competitive activities (including at congresses) – collect, analyze, present this literature describing the potential impact on Edwards business. Actively participate in quarter-end activities, preparing analysis describing market events and how the business performed. Understand how near-term events will drive market and Edwards business and provide analysis for annual financial planning and quarterly forecasts.
  • Work with new-product launch teams to develop clear launch objectives taking into account target customers, sequence of activation and potential for cannibalization of existing business. Quantify sales opportunity through analysis of customer-level data; collaborate with EU THV Pricing Manager to incorporate pricing models in analyses.
  • Manage a team of business analysts investigating market size questions, identifying and creating new sources of data and developing models explaining how the THV market is developing
Education and Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in scientific or business-related field.Related Experience In Strategy PreferredAdditional Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools and systems
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
  • Expert understanding of procedures while addressing issues with impact beyond own team based on knowledge of related disciplines
  • Expert understanding and interpretation of complicated market dynamics with the ability to identify and quantify market potential, and build business case with both business and financial analysis skills.
  • Expert understanding of related aspects of processes and/or systems
  • Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate value to the business
  • Ability to listen to stakeholders, discover unmet needs, develop strong rapport with audience, and be customer-focused.
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to develop peer, cross functional and cross business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness.
  • Ability to develop relationships and leverage them to influence change
