Position SummaryOur client is a growing biotechnology company shaping the future of cancer immunotherapies focusing on clinical-stage research and development of innovative medicines for cancer with operations in Europe, North America, and Asia. This company has an exciting career opportunity available within the Clinical Development Team .Key Activities And ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Medical Director is a key member of an assigned Project Core Team and leads the associated Clinical Sub-Team. The Senior Medical Director is responsible for all aspects of the relevant clinical program(s) and provides leadership for the entire clinical development program of the assigned project in all potential indications, including:
  • Lead, plan, design, defend, and ensure implementation of the clinical development strategy
  • Assume leadership of the assigned clinical program.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships and global cross functional collaboration together with the Global Project Leader to ensure broad medical, scientific, regulatory, commercial and external input into the clinical programs.
  • Develop a strong knowledge base of the relevant disease area and therapeutics and become a company expert for the respective treatment modality.
  • Ensure that Protocol Summaries and derived final protocols related to the relevant development plans meet the requirements of related Clinical Development Plans and Target Product Profiles and that this is appropriately managed by the clinical study team(s).
  • Publication of results of clinical programs.
Competence, Skills, And Qualification
  • MD or advanced degree in Immunology or Molecular biology
  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise with immunological//cancer biology projects
  • Solid track record in leading clinical development programs
  • Leadership experience
  • Organizational skills, multi-tasking, and attention to detail
  • A highly collaborative spirit and willingness to work in collaboration with several different teams and clinicians
  • Fluent written and spoken English (B2 level)
