Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Programming experience in one of the following: Java, C++ or Python.
  • Technical leadership and people management experience.


Preferred qualifications:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical subject.
  • Relevant industry experience involving search optimization, ranking, applied ML experience.
  • Experience with quality work is a big plus. In addition, some knowledge about the search stack would make a candidate more effective.
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems.
  • Demonstrated people management and leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and coaching team members.

Senior Engineering Manager will be leading Semi Structured project, which is a Search Platform offering providing the magic of Search for entities. You will be leading and managing the team across infrastructure and quality to grow the platform and achieve strategic goals for Search.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of software engineers.
  • Drive technical projects, and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
  • Be responsible for the overall planning, actioning, and success of technical projects.
  • Work closely with Product Management, UX, and wider Engineering teams to ensure effective development.
  • Contribute technically to projects. Focus on design and architectural decision making for the team.
