The Strategic Assets & Projects Accounting Senior Manager oversees and performs the accounting of a group of special purpose entities involved in the financing of the Group’s main assets including vessels, terminals and other infrastructure with a focus on ensuring the accounting’s full alignment with the relevant financial models and the compliance with the financial documentation as well as statutory and tax obligations. In this role, you will join the Corporate Finance, Tax & Strategic Initiatives team where you will complement and benefit from a significant expertise in corporate finance, financial modelling and tax planning by providing a comprehensive accounting and reporting support in a very dynamic context gaining exposure to various international projects and complex financing schemes including asset-backed transactions, project financing, leasing, etc. Your keen interest in playing an important role supporting the Group’s investments coupled with a hands-on approach and problem-solving attitude, outstanding technical accounting skills as well as advanced Excel capabilities will prove key success factors.

  • Qualified accountant, such as ACA/ACCA with a Big 4 background;
  • Minimum 12 year of progressive experience in a big4 plus relevant industry;
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, mostly in complex financing structures including but not limited to leases, debt and financial instruments;
  • Experience with the shipping industry is a strong plus;
  • Experience with project financing is a strong plus;
  • Excellent Excel skills;
  • Experience with SAP is a plus;
  • Able to lead a team of accountants spread across different geographies;
  • Able to thrive in dynamic and deadline-driven environment;
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Supervise the day-to-day accounting operations to ensure constant alignment with financial models, accounting frameworks as well as compliance with loan documentation and tax strategy;
  • Maintain, update, and ensure the integrity of complex financial models covering various types of financial transactions including loans, leases, and derivatives;
  • Supervise the preparation of multiple annual statutory and individual accounts across multiple jurisdictions as well as IFRS consolidate accounts;
  • Support external audits;
  • Supervise the preparation of the monthly group reporting packages;
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting process;
  • Participate in strategic financial projects;
  • Supports the implementation of a new ERP software;
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and projects as requested;
  • Develop strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to achieve shared goals;
