Swiss Market Retail Manager (M/W)

Purpose

Based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, and reporting to the General Manager of the Swiss Market, you will manage and develop TAG Heuer’s Retail network in Switzerland, in line with the company’s business objectives.

Responsibilities

As Country Retail Manager, you will be in charge of the business development, retail excellence and performance management, as well as the training activities for the entire Retail network (FSS and FRS) through the following missions:

Retail Performance

  • Responsible for achieving financial targets and monitoring network performance
  • Analyze and monitor CRM KPIs and store productivity
  • In liaison with the Swiss Market General Manager and the European retail teams, draw up and implement the associated action plans
  • Be a driving force behind local incentive proposals and roll them out

Management & Development of retail teams

  • Direct management of the Boutique Managers and management of retail teams
  • Creation of synergies between stores
  • In liaison with the HR team and Boutique Managers, define a development plan for the teams
  • In addition, direct management of one Retail Excellence and VM Coordinator
  • Monitor the performance of the store commission system and ensure the quality of sales targets
  • Motivate and inspire retail teams by acting as ambassadors for the brand and its values
  • Stimulate a genuine retail culture within the subsidiary

Business development

  • Monitor market and competitive trends to understand how the business may be impacted in the short and long term
  • In liaison with the Swiss Market General Manager and the European teams, be a driving force behind store openings and closings opportunities
  • Develop partnerships, services, and offers to attract international and local customers

Training

  • Adapt and animate TAG Heuer training programs across the boutiques
  • Alongside HQ Training team, develop and co-build training and coaching programs using the appropriate tools
  • Build a Retail training path to support the direct distribution and guide the development of the sales associates
  • Support Boutique Managers on training needs, linked to business priorities
  • Pilot Mystery Shopping waves in liaison with the sales teams: develop Retail excellence alongside the Boutique Managers
  • Follow-up and reporting of the training activities with an emphasis on continuous improvement

Retail Operations

  • Supervise all retail operations by exploiting and maximizing the tools and processes
  • Participate to discussions on retail performance and operational excellence with the General Manager and European retail teams
  • Ensure a level of service and merchandising in line with brand guidelines in all stores
  • Ensure the optimization of after-sales service, reflecting our brand image in our stores
  • Oversee health and safety, equipment, legal and back-office procedures


PROFILE

  • Strong experience in retail network management (6/7 years), ideally with field experience
  • Real retail expert, with a thorough understanding of store operations and performance drivers
  • Good understanding of the luxury goods industry
  • Proven managerial skills, able to motivate and inspire teams
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and plan workloads
  • Entrepreneurial temperament, hands on, ability to evolve in a dynamic culture
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Energetic and results-oriented
  • Customer focus, open-mindedness, and adaptability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Creativity and ability to anticipate future trends
  • Fluent French and English, (Swiss) German is a plus
