We are seeking applications from enthusiastic and excellent teachers of Biology and Environmental Science, who also teach Middle School Science.

The successful candidate will be passionate about enriching and inspiring students in Biology/ESS and General Science, utilising innovative teaching methods and technology to enhance learning experiences.


This role is ideal for candidates who are collaborative, adept with technology and committed to contributing positively to our school’s ethos and academic excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Teach engaging and challenging IB DP Biology and /or ESS and Middle School Science lessons.
  • Integrate technology effectively into their pedagogy.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop a comprehensive curriculum (and implement interdisciplinary initiatives).
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the development of the department.
  • Participate in and contribute to whole school activities, enhancing the holistic educational experience for students.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Biology or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • 3+ years’ experience teaching Biology / ESS at IB Diploma, A level or equivalent and the ability to teach Physics and Chemistry for ages 11 to 14.
  • Experience teaching IB DP Biology / ESS an advantage.
  • The ability to teach in English. A working knowledge of French would be useful.
