Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience managing physical security technology projects from evaluation, to design and execution.
  • Experience interacting with technical and non-technical groups, at peer level, to drive business outcomes.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional, or Certified Security Project Manager certification.
  • Experience in technology strategy development, and design and execution within Physical/Cyber Security industries.
  • Experience with Physical Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Video Management, PSIM, and Architecture.
  • Experience in supporting vendor engagements through RFIs and RFPs to identify qualified technology suppliers, and discuss best pricing and business terms.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as ability to take initiative and build productive relationships.

About the job

As a Technical Program Manager on the Security and Resilience Technologies (SRT), you will be responsible for strategy, evaluation, pilot, and launch of all physical security technology solutions within Google’s campuses, including both the implementation of third-party products and collaboration with Corporate Engineering on first-party solutions. You will be responsible for planning and execution across a wide range of these technology evaluation/implementation projects, ensuring alignment with Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) strategies while respecting people and culture.

From keeping Googlers safe and secure to managing disruptive events, the ability to anticipate, deter, detect, and act are the pillars of Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team. As a member of GSRS you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal customers, cross-functional partners, and engineering teams to develop security technology strategies and solutions with a focus on scalable growth, automation, and best business outcomes.
  • Support the build of technology solutions, from strategic planning to tactical activities, such as gathering requirements, developing user stories, testing, rollout, and communications plans. Support the evaluation, integration, and implementation of third-party solutions.
  • Identify and track changing business conditions in Google and relevant industries, and evolve security technology strategies and related products based on research, data, and market trends.
  • Manage confidential information and safeguard company intellectual property.
  • Ability to lead projects by setting priorities, measurable objectives, cross-functional dependencies, planning, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, implementation, and subsequent monitoring through informal authority.
