What You’ll Do

DBS is who we are and how we do what we do at Cytiva. Home-based but frequently visiting Cytiva sites, the VP, DBS Lean supports Site and Manufacturing Leaders as well as site DBSLs with bringing the DBS continuous improvement culture to life at Cytiva. You will collaborate with the VP, Global Supply Chain (GSC) and her leadership team to impact Cytiva’s Core Value Drivers (CVDs) through DBS.

Your responsibilities:
  • Support Cytiva’s VP, GSC in creating and updating CVD-level PSPs, e.g. On-Time Delivery(OTD). Ensure that site level targets and PSPs are aligned with the global PSP to improve CVDs. Plan, perform, and sustain Shin Kaizens targeted at the right sites and product lines.
  • Accelerate site results in SQDC by using DBS tools, mentoring skills, and organizational change processes. Collaborate with Kaizen leaders and facilitators to ensure Kaizen sustainability above 90%.
  • Help Site Leaders and DBSLs with guiding and coaching DBS (e.g. Daily & Visual Management, PSP, TPI, Kaizen funnel, etc.). Set up a community of practice of all site DBSLs to identify and share examples of good practice – within Cytiva and beyond.
  • Guide Cytiva’s VP, GSC and team in building a Certified Practitioner (CP) plan: i.e., which tools, how many CPs, the right CP candidates, guide and coach them to CP certification.
Your competencies:
  • Has passion for continuous improvement. Recognized as DBS Lean expert and inspiring leader. Has achieved ACP status in PSP and at least one other DBS Fundamental or Lean tool.
  • Results Focus: Can show evidence how DBS action has improved specific CVDs and how work has been recognized as best practice in Danaher.
  • Solves Problems: Able to coach and teach PSP at all levels of the organization. Coaches teams to think critically, explore alternative paths, and experiment. Drives action to close the gaps. Has an independent opinion based on evidence – even if unpopular.
  • Able to work in a matrix environment with multiple partners. Can develop strong relationships with key partners independent of reporting lines. Helps Cytiva become a better organization in Inclusion & Diversity.
Who You Are
  • 10+ years of practitioner experience in Operations, Supply Chain, or Lean DBS in one or several Danaher OpCos. DBSO and L1 Leadership team experience desired.
  • Experience of leading a value stream, plant, or site is desirable.
  • Experience in solving sophisticated problems in a structured (DBS) way and successfully implementing the recommendations with CVD impact.
  • Experience in facilitating and performing President’s and Shin Kaizen. Experience with Policy Deployment is desired.
