- Experience with SQL, My SQL, or similar and querying and analyzing datasets/data warehouses to derive insights, metrics, and trends.
- Experience in the digital advertising industry in a technical role and/or related role in cyber security, data analysis, programming, and scripting.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in process/project management.
- Ability to process high amount of data to drive business strategies and decisions.
- Ability to navigate and influence cross-team stakeholders.
- Ability to solve large, unstructured business problems in the fraud investigations and risk management space.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts with multiple cross-regional and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you’re a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. The mission of our Publisher Quality team is to protect Google’s users and advertisers by ensuring that publishers comply with our policies.
Specifically, Trust and Safety Publisher Quality team in EMEA, strives to deliver a clean, trusted ads ecosystem. We analyze pages, sites, apps, and accounts that display ads, and create scalable systems to stop others from causing harm. We work to help users, advertisers, publishers, and Google gain information and grow the internet safely and usefully.

We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual investigations to catch policy violations, enforce our product policies, learn abuse patterns, establish ground truth, and identify product vulnerabilities.
- Conduct complex data analyses and identify opportunities/sources for signals and automations. Drive the utilization of signals to completion by developing solutions for scalable enforcement on policy non-compliant publisher inventory with a focus on desktop and mobile web.
- Drive strategy and team focus on using data mining and analysis techniques to provide insights on abuse and operational trends.
- Respond to Advertisers and Publisher concerns and help enhance trust in Google’s Ad Ecosystem.
- Analyze trends and create automated labels, models, and lead generators for detecting policy violators. Manage complex projects through their full lifecycle.
