QA Engineer (Frontend)

Job Description and Responsibilities

• Implement test frameworks, define patterns, and best practices to facilitate other engineers to write automated tests for our applications
• Support the rest of the development team in the development of Unit Tests
• Define test suites and test cases for features and translate into manual or automated (scripted) test plans
• Execute test plans, compile reports, and collaborate with developers to address issues
• Improve, maintain, and develop new automated tests
• Maintain the test base of existing regression and feature test sets
• Optimize and maintain the existing test infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to continuously ensure high quality of our products
• Setup monitoring & visualization of the test coverage, and work on improving it
• Continuously work on ways to improve the internal software quality management process

Your Profile

• Degree (FH, MSc, BSc) in computer science, software engineering, or relevant field.
• 2+ years of professional hands-on experience in product QA environments, with a focus on testing web-based or SaaS applications
• Working knowledge of QA concepts, test frameworks and automation tools (e.g. Cypress, Selenium, Mocha, Jest, Chai, Jasmine, or Enzyme)
• Excellent understanding of QA processes and methods that meet high quality standards
• Methodological competence of agile approaches (SCRUM, SAFe, Kanban, ...)
• Proven experience in designing and implement test cases for upcoming features, track defects and compose quality reports throughout the project lifecycle
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken. German is a plus

Additional plus

• Experience delivering in agile environments
• Experience in testing standalone web applications
• Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks in a CI/CD environment
• Experience with load and performance testing
• Experience in working with the Atlassian tool suite (Confluence, Jira & X-Ray)
• Experience with ReactJS, Node, related frontend development stack tools, and React Testing Library
