STAAR Surgical is a fast-growing international medical device company. Dedicated solely to ophthalmic surgery for over 30 years, we design, develop, manufacture and market innovative and high-quality ophthalmic implants with companion delivery systems.

Our company is expanding further by setting up a brand-new manufacturing site in Nidau BE, Switzerland and is therefore seeking a professional (f/m) for the position as:

Quality Assurance Engineer 100%

In this position, you will work across multiple tasks within our growing Quality Assurance Team.

Your mission

· Perform supplier control and management activities

· Prepare and execute various studies and reports

· Support the risk management process and associated documentation applicable to STAAR Surgical AG

· Initiate and lead project teams on Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) projects

· Perform QMS continuous improvement activities

· Develop and monitor performance metrics for manufacturing activities

· Execute, plan and support Internal audits

· Support external audits (in the backroom and as SME/Auditee)

· Lead and complete various cross-departmental projects

· Assist the global complaint handling team with complaint-related activities

· Assist the regulatory activities within STAAR Surgical AG

Your profile

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Life Sciences

· At least four years of experience within a Quality Assurance Department. Experience in a Medical Devices and/or in a Pharmaceutical field is mandatory.

· Excellent English skills, both spoken and written. All other languages are an asset

· Proficient IT Skills (e.g. MS Office, eQMS, etc.)

· Very flexible and adaptable to change with ability to work under pressure

· Responsible, team oriented and well-organized personality
