QA / Test Manager

Job Description and Responsibilities

Trust is good, but testing is better! Do you have a passion for software testing and love to think out of the box? Are you looking to work in a software field other than Finance or Insurance sector? Then this is your chance! We have a wide variety of different software applications, from very low-level (drivers for embedded peripherals) to very high-level (web applications). As a QA/Test Manager you will:

• Develop software test concepts & test plans including feature, integration, system, and E2E tests for standalone and web applications
• Assemble a mix of several static and dynamic testing and acceptance strategies to ensure an appropriate test coverage
• Identify and manage risks and prioritize tests accordingly
• Plan and coordinate all software testing activities
• Define test cases, track defects and compose quality reports throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain regression and feature test sets according to customer requirements
• Drive forward setting up a new QA team
• Create maturity level metrics in collaboration with your colleagues
• Support and mentor project leads and software engineers in quality management of the projects
• Continuously improve the internal software quality management process

Your Profile

• Customer-oriented personality with an affinity to Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant field
• Ideally, continuing education in software testing (ISTQB / ISEB or equivalent qualification)
• 5+ years of sound experience in planning and execution of methodical testing of complex software solutions in an agile environment
• Ability to think from an end-users perspective
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience working in smaller start-up and also large-scale enterprise environment
• Experience in dealing with usability and design specifications and deriving test cases based on them

Additional plus:

• experience in testing standalone (onboard/embedded) and web applications
• experience in testing embedded solutions with hardware
• experience in test automation
• experience in working with the Atlassian toolsuite (Confluence, Jira & X-Ray) and other tools such as Cypress, Mocha / Chai, Jasmine, Selenium, etc.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
