In Switzerland, Estée Lauder has the main Supply Chain Hub for Travel Retail and EMEA.
We are now looking for an experienced Quality Control Lab Technician to join our team in Lachen.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting simple routine and non-routine analysis, as well as inspections of raw materials, bulks, components and cosmetic finished goods in accordance with specifications and standards before being shipped or used in filling or manufacturing. You will inform the management of critical issues and perform OOS lab investigations with guidance from QC Lab Coordinator and QA Lab Specialist. When necessary, you will update SOPs and provide training on new technical procedures.
Your main responsibilities include:
• Assure that incoming raw materials, packaging materials, manufactured bulk and finished products meet Estée Lauder quality standards
• Guarantee that compounding, filling & assembling and warehousing operation is performed in line with Estée Lauder quality standards, including but not limited to cosmetics GMP standard
• Plan, organize, lead and review quality improvement initiatives
• Complete documentation as needed to support testing procedures
• Work with the Lab Coordinator to retain or discard sample and archive lab documents
• Conduct olfactory tests on incoming Perfume oils, made-in Bulks and retain samples by request
• Conduct Quality Control evaluations of consumer complaints and Quality Inquiries
• Discuss problems with R&D, Product Development, Packaging Development, Corporate QA to pursue solutions and improvements
• Writes reports on test results, line trials, quality issues, laboratory findings, etc. (mainly in English)
• Improve the plant hygiene, zoning concept, as well as all topics within the filling of care products
