, currently our UK Operations / Digital Technologies Business Area headquarters and manufacturing facility are conveniently located in the London Docklands, where the Quality Manager - Digital Technologies would also be based.

The Quality Manager - Digital Technologies key focus will be to oversee Quality management - Process Implementation and tracking at all Global DT operations sites. Define and implement a DT quality strategy in alignment with Group Strategy. Drive resolution to Quality issues across whole organisation. (Design Quality - Build Quality - Business Process Quality).

The Quality Manager - Digital Technologies key focus will be to oversee Quality management - Process Implementation and tracking at all Global DT operations sites. Define and implement a DT quality strategy in alignment with Group Strategy. Drive resolution to Quality issues across whole organisation. (Design Quality - Build Quality - Business Process Quality).

Tasks

The Quality Manager Digital Technologies will be responsible for:

  • Aligning and taking ownership of the implementation of group quality process initiatives into the Buhler Digital Technologies area of operation.
  • Overseeing, with teams, the resolution of all Quality Complaints (CAQ’s) in the defined KPI timelines and define the top ten special focus issues.
  • Mentoring and developing DT quality teams in Brazil, China, UK and Switzerland and aligning with Stakeholders on priorities.
  • Leading Supplier Development in collaboration with Procurement Teams.
  • Working in close collaboration with Digital Technologies Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to highlight and advise on approach to Business-Critical Quality issues within our organisation.
  • Supporting our external manufacturing entities in reviewing all new supply chain third parties in terms of suitability for meeting our quality standards.
  • Being key point of contact for internal and external audit plaining within organisation.
  • Cost of quality assessment focus for decisions that impact the business financially.
  • International travel will be required Periodically. Max 25% of time.

Required qualifications

  • You will ideally have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering or in a related field. With demonstrable experience of quality management within a technically oriented manufacturing organisation covering the full spectrum of a quality function, ideally within a capital equipment environment. You will have demonstrable experience of leading Quality management Process Implementation, driving resolution to Quality issues relating to Design Quality, Build Quality and Business Processes. Additionally, you will have had a sound knowledge of the lean manufacturing principles and be highly proficient with SAP, NCR and CAQ.

  • With demonstrable experience working in a complex matrix organization, you will be adaptable and dynamic and enjoy working in a team. Possessing a strong customer focus and commercial acumen, you will be organized, and results driven with a focus on achieving results and meeting deadlines. With good communication skills, you will be comfortable working closely with multiple senior internal and external stakeholders.
